I am pleased yet intrigued why he or the film’s scriptwriter chose the name. The only other “Tony Tharakan” I ever found on the internet was some kind of forger arrested in India with Interpol’s help a decade ago.

Pleasantly surprised to spot my not-so-common Indian name pop up as a movie character's name in a major 2025 Malayalam drama, a police superintendent no less. Producer Edward Anthony does a fine job in this cameo, his first acting gig.

A UK colleague asked if Creme Eggs were available in India. I don’t know. But if Britons are going berserk to this extent, it must really be a gastronomical delight.

What Trump’s migration crackdown could mean for foreign students Visa data shows that, in Trump’s first presidency, foreign students were largely left alone.

U.S. universities warned international students after Donald Trump won the election last November. But data from his first presidency, paints a less grim picture for foreign students than Trump’s harsh rhetoric might suggest. Immigration experts believe there's an economic reason for it.

Irish centre-right parties close in on re-election but likely need a new partner Ireland's two large centre-right parties looked on course to be returned to power after an election on Friday, but they will likely need at least one junior partner to reach a majority, raising questions about the stability of the next government.

Elections in #Ireland are fascinating because of the unique political party names. They do have Labour, Green and the Social Democrats, but the ones most likely to win are usually Fianna Fáil (Soldiers of Destiny), Fine Gael (Family of the Irish) or Sinn Fein (We Ourselves).

Why the Flying Experience Feels So Much Worse The front of the plane is now a haven of luxury, while coach has turned into a low-cost shakedown. The real winner: Airlines.

I’m biased, but I think my feature from earlier this week on how and why the experience of American air travel has changed so much in recent years would make a good Sunday read before travel season kicks off in earnest. Gift link: www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
