This moon mission commentary is deluded. Hasn’t changed? According to the WWF wildlife populations have fallen by an average of 73% globally in those fifty years. Not changed?

Happy spring 🌱 this is for all my flower arranger buddies who do this so much better than I do. We opened up this beautiful 1670s stone fireplace when we removed the Aga. We do little displays in it.
They help and gel my brain 💞
Your posts from these images to find the owl are so important, I look forward to them everyday. So thank you.
Let's Grow! Spring special - now is the time to give gardens a burst of love www.wildway.info/p/lets-grow-... a round up of inspiration
Purple sprouting broccoli is so sweet picked fresh and eaten straight away. By picking, more shoots grow.
I’m slowly updating my main website to better reflect the direction of large scale wildlife focussed projects I’m working on in gardens www.jackwallington.com
Thanks, it’s interesting to think of how much gardens can mean to us. Have a great long weekend!
A terrible decision, and one which will do huge damage to the Government's climate credentials.
As Ed knows, this drilling won't lower bills, but instead it sends a clear message that Britain won't be a world leader on ending oil and gas exploitation
A weekend read or short listen on sexuality, gardens and how the gardener and garden are intertwined www.wildway.info/p/sex-in-gar...
I’ve gone on a journey with muscari in this corner, and blue overall. I like blue flowers but our garden always veers to pink and warmth, blue flowers change the atmosphere. Yet blue goes very well with pink and purple. By adding a pink Pulmonaria this patch of grape hyacinths works in my head.
I love the gardening world but there are few times I am truly proud of it. This is one of those moments when @sallynex.bsky.social explains why peat needs to stay in bogs. Gardeners and garden designers get a bad rep in conservation circles but I promise there are many gardeners doing all we can.
Amazing! Go Sally! Very proud of you
Did you know there's a garden centre where plants are free? In your garden, here's my whirlwind guide to how... www.wildway.info/p/divide-per... (lesson for paid subs)
We'll have to Askham why he thinks that
(I keep making this joke even though no one at all finds it funny)
A new lesson for paid subscribers, a deep dive into dividing plants with lots of examples from our garden. Save hundreds of pounds this easter! www.wildway.info/p/divide-per...
Gannet chicks are being slaughtered in Scotland in the name of tradition. This has to stop.

lol I edited it to the correct 2005
Now with a saucy voiceover (spoiler: it’s not saucy, sorry, but I do say sex and naked a few times) open.substack.com/pub/wildway/...
Emma's 'find the owl' game is back!
Thanks Lynn, that's so true, we are part of it all 💞🌱
haha that's brilliant! Thanks Caz, yes there is something very romantic about garden spaces
It seems we are close to the end of the badger cull - it is brutal and wrong - it has long been highlighted that badgers are an unlikely vector for the spread of TB to cattle. It's always been more likely introducing untested cows or poor hygiene.
I help run a local group that concentrates on insulation and new forms of heating. We've had lots of people get it done, they're much better these days. We had a company come round to give us a quote. We couldn't afford it then, but hopefully soon. We're on gas. Though we have water heating solars.
Personally my recommendation is always to ask a company or two (ideally through a local recommendation from someone you know) to come round and give you a quote. They usually handle the grants. Your council will have local schemes too.
I should add, Ed Milliband is bringing in changes to home energy and grants right now, so we're partly waiting for him to announce all of that too
We're saving up for one right now, so hopefully soon. Lots of our friends have installed one and love it.
