I need to greet everyone. - Farmer thinks, remembering mayor Lewis' words. He had just moved to Pelican Town and Shane is the first guy to see in this hour (7 am). Farmer greets him with a simple "Hello!", but in reply he gets a "Don't talk to me, I don't know you." (Or to be canon accurate - I hardly know you. Why are you talking to me?) As Shane continues his walking, farmer wonders if anything happened to him to cause such a reaction.

It's decided - it's observation time! So, this guy is: In the saloon daily Drinking Standing alone, away from others Works at Joja Mart (Ew! I'd be mad if my life was like this too! This is literally why I moved here in the first place!) Messy appearance, torn clothes & messy room Conclusion: this guy is NOT ok

So, another day in the saloon - Shane is there - as expected. He's just standing there again... Wait, we're in a bar, so... it wouldn't be weird if I got him a beer, right? "Gus, one beer please!" Farmer asks, and after receiving the drink hands it to the depressed guy. "Have this!"

"Oh wow, Arin! How did you know this is my favourite?" Shane replies, a bit surprised. "Doesn't take a genius to figure out bro." Farmer replies simply, feeling accomplished after successfully figuring out a favourite gift. He's finally smiling! - He thinks.
