...but in our need to prove our ideologies we create division where there doesn’t need to be any. If we can understand where our ideologies come from we can find more commonalities than differences with one another. We can see each other instead of what we think about each other.

Identity is who we know ourselves to be at our core. This is something no one else can tell us about ourselves. Not to be confused with ideology which is how we frame the world so it makes sense to us. In our ideological zeal, we may believing we know about someone's identity...
