Totally agree. The difference between us and Spurs is the same as collective vs the individual. As you rightly point out we have a team full of leaders, some quite unspoken. Whereas Spurs look rudderless and full of individuals. Same can be applied to the wider culture at each club.

Hard to disagree with your argument. For a free, he's been such a shrewd bit of business. That being said, I am pretty sure I could make a similar argument for Guddy or Justin? And possibly Bijol, Okafor and Stach too!

Oh I don't know. We had quite a few games like this under Farke in the Champo if you think back. Go 1-0/2-0 up early and kill the game off. And I'm okay with that if it gets us the 3pts.

I've never been so glad to eat humble pie in my life!! πŸ˜‚ Wolves game is still massive but a lot less pressure on it now.
Credit where credit is due. That was a brave selection by Farke and tactically spot on. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Agreed. Not sure how it can be such high xG when its from a tight angle, a defender lying on the ground; and he's stumbling at pace.

Feels like such an unnecessary risk, when we have Gruev, Gnonto, Longstaff and Nmecha on the bench. Would rather have seen the 3 doubts get a run out after 60mins. Hope I'm made to eat my words, but I'm worried about someone picking up a knock and being out for the bigger game against Wolves. 😬

Tanaka, Gnonto, Ramizani, Buonanotte, Perri, Spence, Joseph... The list goes on. But sure, Farke is a great man manager. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Amongst the lowest for number of players used and average minutes given to subs. Great squad management. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Did you not see Gnonto? Thought Okafor was good and hopefully he's fine for Scum, but Gnonto was brilliant when he came on. The quality between both of them was great. If we are playing 2 wingers they need to be starting.

I love your optimism mate, but I'm not sure. We now have a significant number of owners who are money first not football, and a number of them are American. It won't happen overnight, but as we have seen with the TV Monies, they look after themselves first.

Agree. If anything they are more likely to push for relegation/promotion to be scrapped or at least narrowed to 1 or 2 clubs max. It makes it even more imperative that we stay in the PL as I can see the direction of travel being more protectionist rather than what's right for the game.

Bingo. I think its lower than 10% success rate when appointing a manager from March onwards. Compare that to pre-Xmas and its over 50%.
They'd have been better to stick with him until the bitter end.

Is really that hard for the President or any member of the GOP to be respectful of the recently deceased? 😩

They do miss him, but they still don't look too bad against a decent Villa side at home. Certainly more about them than us or Spurs.

Brentford, Brighton, Sunderland & Palace all with similar levels of budget all outperfoming us. So even by your flawed metric, you have proved that a good coach can make a difference and Farke ain't.
I'm sorry sick of the happy clapping for Farke. Its like you forgot the impact Bielsa had.

1 month ago 1 0 1 0

I agree that every manager has there limitations, they're human after all. But remember the level of squad Bielsa worked with and compare what Farke has. Bielsa got maximised every player's output, can you honestly say Farke has done this? This squad is more capable than Farke is showing.

If we had been hitting long balls to Nmecha & DCL, I'd agree. But the first long ball wasn't until well into the 2nd half. I'd argue we didn't do enough of it. Instead Farke has defaulted to trying to build from the back even though we don't have the level of player to do that yet.

Yep, he set us up to not lose. Also, couldn't believe he was trying to play it out from the back against a high press. πŸ™„ Nmecha & DCL were completely cut adrift.
We are at the sharp end of the season, and when there is a winnable game we should be going for it. Really poor performance.

Its got nothing to do with playing a back 3. Its because he's reverted back to his pre-Man City tactic of constantly building up from the back and NOT going long to bypass the press. This played right into Brentford's hands. Nmecha & DCL were cut adrift.

Farke being tactically out-thought by Keith Andrews. Its such a joy to see. πŸ˜πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Why bother playing 2 strikers if you are going to try and play it out against a high press team? FFS!

I really do think stuff like this should be punished. If you are going to dish out a Yellow for a player taking off his shirt celebrating a goal then a player celebrating an opposition player get sent off should also be punished. Doesn't exactly set the right right example to kids either.

Yep, lots of games this season where we've blown winnable games or dropped points from a winning position. But when you set a team up everyatch not to lose rather than trying to win that's going to be the outcome.

So disappointing. This is nothing but populist drivel. I expected better from a supposedly serious political leader, not aping Farage.

If he pulls it back for a pen then the goal gets scrubbed off, and its 0-0 with a Pen. The refereeing and VAR has been shit, no denying it. But on this one they did the right thing which was to let us keep the lead and not pull it back for a Pen.

I'm sorry but this is a laughable statement. What exactly can the UK do?
- Under Trump, the US isn't adhering to Intl law so there are no legal means of challenging them.
- Trade barriers would hurt us more than them so tariffs won't work
- So are you suggesting we challenge them with militarily? πŸ€”
