Thank you! We are proud of it.
🧬👁️ Our Science Advances paper is published! snATAC-seq analysis across lamprey to human retina uncovers deeply conserved cis-regulatory codes in all six retinal cell types — even with extensive enhancer turnover. Immensely grateful to my coauthors and collaborators. 🙏 www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
I’ve released a tool to sketch and edit phylogenetic trees!
yawak.jp/PhyloWeaver/
Load a Newick file and intuitively add/remove/resize branches.
Useful for quick conceptual trees, extracting subtrees, or turning ideas into Newick.
I am pleased to continue my journey as a scientist.
I started a new job at 遺伝研NIG🧬 in Japan. My goal: (1) keep learning new stuff. (2) interacting with as many people as possible through my passion.
よろしくお願いします!
未だ就職先決まらず。こまったな。
I still need an academic position in Japan. I feel that I do not understand the key points of getting a job.
We share a lot of our ideas, code, datasets (that we spend years sanitizing) early. Often way before we release preprints. We do this so that others can use, build on, improve & even "beat" our approaches. But I want to say a few things about some simple expectations 1/
My homepage is finally open!

It's very simple and elementary but better than nothing😎。アカデミア就活がんばろ。
Cell Ranger ATAC (v2.1.0) does not create an index reference for chromosomes larger than 2^29-1, approximately 500 Mbp. How can I resolve this issue?
I'm writing an HTML personal website. I'd love to have my domain, but which service should I use?
無事にプレプリントにアップロードできたはいいものの、各所に散らばったデータとコードスクリプトの山をどうやって整理して公開すればいいのだろうか?解析メインの論文の作成が始めてで、よくわからない。Githubかな?
I've successfully uploaded the preprint, but how do I organize and publish the piles of data and code scripts scattered around? I'm not sure, since this is my first time writing a paper that focuses on analysis. Maybe Github?.
Vertebrate evolution nerds, help please: I seem to recall that I read something recently suggesting that hagfish might need to be moved about the base of the vertebrate tree of life (away from the lampreys??) but I can't find anything now. All recent work seem to confirm the "original" position
