Do you remember saying this, Keir Starmer? We do.

We think if you make a leadership pledge, you should keep it.

Privatisation has failed. Public ownership is popular with voters across the political spectrum.

You could do with some popularity right now, don't you think?

Can you imagine the headline: 'Attempted murder arrest after knife hits pedestrian on Argyll Street'? No, of course you can't. Because no sub would ever write that!!

Thames Water infrastructure average age is 79 yrs. 40% of assets are 100+ yrs old.

Water industry average is 56 years.

At current rate, it will take 700+ yrs to renew assets.

Since 1989 industry neglected investment, £88bn+ dividends paid, customers fleeced.

Privatisation isn't the answer.

You don't really have public ownership of the railway *if private profiteers are still taking out billions in dividends from owning the rolling stock*.

Successive governments have failed to learn lessons of Grenfell Tragedy The conditions that facilitated the tragedy remain unchecked

Corporate capture of the state kills.

Inquiry into the Grenfell fire found dishonesty, false claims about safety of building materials, regulatory collusion.

72 people died. No one prosecuted. Companies still get public contracts.

Govts push deregulation.

Working class lives don't matter do they

This comes as news from LBC shows Met basically aren't following up hit & runs against cyclists. Criminal drivers are clearly considered by many police as 'unfortunate but not a priority'. The consequences of that approach to society are horrific.

This is exactly how this street should be. It is not a street designed for motor vehicles, which are guests.

Already, people are demanding in these videos that the tech becomes more assertive against pedestrians and cyclists.

This is the beginning of a slippery slope for human-scale cities.
