A perturbation is coming in the next few seconds!! Can you proactively modify anterior or posterior stability margins first? If yes, then stability margins may be feasible to improve with training.

We're hiring a postdoc to work on several projects related to balance control and concussion!
Please spread the word!

I am actively recruiting several PhD students to join my lab at UMass Amherst (you can apply as ME, BME, or CICS) to work on wearable robotics for walking/running and neuromotor control (primitives for action generation and perception)! Shoot me an email if you're interested!
Ok, Academic Bluesky is surging! Happy to connect with others out there!
I'm currently a 3rd year postdoc at the U of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. I aim to improve our understanding of balance/postural control through fundamental and applied interdisciplinary biomechanics.
With many people joining, I thought a short intro post would be useful to help find people with similar interests. Please share!
I am a movement scientist researching falls prevention & balance/gait control, training & stability in older adults.

I'll be supported by a stellar mentorship team led by Dr. Cory Christiansen and Dr. Brecca Gaffney (@breccagaffney.bsky.social) and collaborators Dr. Jason Stoneback, Dr. Danielle Melton, Dr. Elizabeth Juarez-Colunga, and Dr. Brett Fling.
New professional headshot to pair with new professional funding! Received the official Notice of Award from the NIH for a Kirschstein-NRSA postdoctoral fellowship (F32).

#biomechsky I have an invite code to share! I also have two codes that I've "copied" but whoever I shared them with has not used them. It's been at least 1 month if not 2-3 (I don't know who they went to). So, I think I'll repurpose those, too!
Please RT. My lab is recruiting PhD student(s) with interest/expertise in #wearables, #biomechanics, #machinelearning, #musculoskeletalmodeling, and #mechatronics with applications to gait and balance control. Priority deadline is Dec. 5. More info at neuromoblab.com
New work in J of Biomech from Michael Christensen!
