Thanks for this. I took something as fact because I saw it posted across multiple reputable platforms. I do my best to not perpetuate misinformation, and deleted my post after further fact checking. You are correct, at this point it is just a (believable) rumour.

Highly disturbing. Poilievre is refusing to allow Canadian media to travel with him & refusing to take questions unless it’s from an organization he “likes”, which is incredibly suspect behaviour (but is taking a page from the Trump playbook; when you control the media, you control the masses)

Cdn PM Dr. Mark Carney has a PhD in Economics (Oxford U), is the former Governor of the Bank of England AND the Bank of Canada. He guided England thru Brexit & has been a non-partisan advisor to numerous heads of state and govt’s. There is literally no one better qualified to make this happen.
