Our soil–stream multi-sensor platform in the lower Contraix Catchment is almost completely buried in snow. We measured about 2 m of snow.

Last week we carried out our monthly biogeochemical sampling across the Sant Nicolau river network (LTER Aigüestortes) and maintained our soil-stream multi-sensor platforms. Spring conditions in the Pyrenees, with more snow than usual for this time of year.

🌍How do global change and land uses affect the capacity of headwater catchments to retain greenhouse gases? #SERVICO2 project, coordinated from CEAB-CSIC, is studying this. This week, its entire team, is at the Centre to coordinate the actions that will be carried out ▶️ https://servico2.org/

My latest paper is now out in Limnology and Ocenography Letters @aslo.org, titled "Emerging patterns of CO2 : O2 dynamics in rivers and their link to ecosystem carbon processing". It is open access, so go read! I am mostly proud of this figure, which I spent a lot of hours figuring out how to do it
