To be profitable they will have to make it way more expensive. They are keeping is artificially cheap to get people hooked and dependent on the tech.

Power generation, transmission and storage. With transmission probably the least efficient for renewables.
We should be forcing big-tech to update the grid first! Before subsidizing them to steal energy from individual customers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

🤔 In the private sector, headcount is a profit drain. Hiring and firing will be driven by that alone in most service and information companies and all but the most human-to-human dependent industries. imho 🤷🏻‍♂️
