Big crowd at the #austin #cap10k today. Super muggy but the rain held off. Not my best effort but within the goal I set myself.

This approach aligns with established industry practices and will enable our models to deliver more context-aware AI coding assistance. We have tested this with Microsoft interaction data and have seen meaningful improvements, including increased acceptance rates in multiple languages. Please review your settings and choose whether your interactions with Copilot can be leveraged for training AI models before this update goes into effect on April 24. To opt out or adjust your settings: • Go to GitHub Account Settings • Select Copilot • Choose whether to allow your data to be used for AI model training

If you are using GitHub opt out ,otherwise they will train their models using your data.

Also, entire GitHub is on fire (Malware, Phishing, Attacks), but GitHub is busy with AI 🫠

Just watched Project Hail Mary. Enjoyed it quite a bit. It has a lot of charm. I do not think it will have the rewatch ability of The Martian but it is a quality movie. Thumbs Up!

Ran the #deeprun #parkrun this morning. Fastest 5K of the year for me so far.

Even the softball CBS crew couldn’t make the DOD head a less smarmy jerk. He looks, talks, and acts like he is using the US military to make his pe-pe look bigger.

Bluejay day for the #parkrun today. Big fun crowd. Pretty much hit my target time and pretty happy with the effort.

Unrelated to my last post. A nice gentleman just bought everyone sitting at the bar itself a shot. Shooters choice. Very generous for a whole bunch of strangers.

At a non-affiliated sports bar in Austin, TX to watch the Super Bowl and it seems to be leaning quite heavily Seahawks. #superbowl

Washed my car today. Found out my windshield cracked :( Able to get it replaced tomorrow which is nice. But the $500 bill isn’t great.

Made it just above freezing this afternoon and the neighborhood roads were probably 60% clear. Back down into the mid 20s and going down. Going to be a cold night. #winterstorm2026

Sleet accumulation on a yard and road

Up to 24deg and the sun wants to break through. Sleet sticking around for awhile. #winterstorm2026

Looks like we got about 3/4” of accumulated sleet overnight. 22deg at the house this morning. Power has held steady. #winterstorm2026

Freezing rain/sleet has started. Air temp is a bit below freezing. Power has been stable since the blips earlier. #winterstorm2026

I really don’t think he is smart enough to do it with that level of instruction. He has to have been given specific orders which he follows and causes all sorts of weirdness in how things are implemented. All bad, but weird.

Today was a pretty good day. I got the sewing machine I picked up off marketplace up and running today and stitched my first thread in 30+ years. I’m still riding my runners high from this morning and opening a new maker path just adds to the feel.

My first timed #running race of 2026. Really chuffed with the result. No way I thought I could hold that pace for the whole distance.

Noticed a huge surge in spam that made it through the gmail filters for me today. Hopefully they fix the filters soon. #stopspam

I am likely to finish 3rd in my #fantasyfootball league this year. I am pretty happy with that result overall.

I just had my fantasy football team beat by the 8th place team with three position players out…. And I had Trever Lawrence on the bench. FML. Still should be in the top 4 and in the playoffs but still…

Just got the email that I passed my #hashicorp #terraform certification exam. Not sure of my percentage yet- will need to login to check.

Ran the #thundercloudturkeytrot here in #austin this morning. A little chilly to start but great for the run. Lots of folks came out which was great. Really happy with my pace as well.

Got to interact with the #austin fire department today as I smelt a gas leak near my meter. They were quick to arrive and figure out the issue. A+ will call again if needed. Also props to the Texas Gas Service employee who fixed the issue in an hour. And my house didn’t blow up. It is a good day!
