Hey gang! Are there any Melbourne/Victoria-based 3D modellers looking for short contract work right now? Summerfall is currently on the lookout for contractors to do hard-surface environment work for a new prototype, like furniture and all that. 🔨🪑
Send through portfolios! 🙂 Cheers!

David Lynch sitting in a naturally lit room and wearing sunglasses: “I’m wearing dark glasses today, because I’m seeing the future and the future is looking very bright.”
David Lynch passed a year ago today. I hope we all can absorb just a little bit of the energy he put out in his lifetime.
Hi AU-based marketing and biz dev friends!
I'm still looking for $5k AUD to help make

I've become such a fan of Control and Alan Wake, I'm so looking forward to this 👀
git gud is a common gamer phrase. it means "become a good person."

the Michelin man is kinda like a Greek god in the sense that he presides over tires and which restaurants are good
I always think similar when it comes to piracy or 'theft' in general - like if people aren't able to pay or wouldn't have access otherwise then it's not anything that's actually taken away? If anything it makes it more accessible and reaches more people
Everyone excited to buy a Steam Machine.
I know what my custom faceplate will be for the new Steam Cube already

Back in my day, AI used to stand for Adobe Illustrator! And we hated that, too!

It would be really helpful to get an indication from any devs with key news (game announcement, surprise release, or a first demo launch) that would be aligned to a DECEMBER timeframe.
If you can pls DM me, that would be very helpful! TY!
I realise posting this on a Saturday is not ideal, but, hear me out.
We are trying very hard to keep Frosty alive, and even grow it into something more helpful for ANZ based devs, long term 🍦
I did too! I'll see you there 😊
I missed out last year - keen to see what it'll be like 👀
this "passion tax" appears all over the place & should be talked about more. you see it in book stores and game stores all the time
excitement for particular work is constantly weaponized to depress wages & pit workers against each other
the more this keeps happening (also looking at prime here), the more I'm tempted to go back to the seven seas 🏴☠️
this looks great actually?? I love that it's entirely personal and not even remotely trying to be objective
what's mike's rating system? 👀
yeah I go back and forth a lot - it can feel weird and counter-intuitive to me trying to quantify art within a system like that to determine if it's good or not when that's not the point of that experience.
and then weird again seeing studios fund and make movies just to work in that system
Letterboxd has been both the best and worst for me. Logging movies and seeing what others think is nice - but now I'm in a (I think bad) habit of constantly being like "how many stars was it? is it 4 or 4 and a half? or 1 star but I liked it?" rather than just enjoying without overthinking sometimes
You know I would lol
