Inside Nellie you’ll slow down and see the world from a new perspective — quite literally upside down — while learning how a camera works from the inside out. You’ll also create your own portrait using sustainable, plant-based darkroom techniques that are gentle on the environment.
Led by Photo Hub North CIC, this hands-on workshop invites you to experience Nellie, a lovingly repurposed caravan that functions as a camera obscura, an eco-friendly darkroom, and a giant analogue camera on wheels.
Introducing our events and activities for the Takeover Day at Cartwright Hall. First up we have Lisa Holmes and Nellie the Cutlure Cam!
Step inside Nellie to experience traditional darkroom photography with sustainable slant-based processes, in a beautifully transformed caravan turned camera!
Sessions include Making Synth Music from Flowers, Mycelium Manifestos, Cyanotype Printing, The Queer Language of Flowers, Eco Crafts, Exploring and Map Making, Seasonal Tea Tasting, Culture Cam, 3D printing and Zine Making and more!
SAVE THE DATE!
In partnership with Bradford Museums, we'll be taking over Cartwright Hall on 2nd May and we'd love you to join us! On 2nd May, from 11-4pm explore the exhibtions and take part in talks and workshops, all welcome!
