reminder: for covid, you won't show pos for 36-48hrs after exposure.
if your flight's friday morning, testing = inaccurate anytime before saturday night (unless you're feeling sick sooner)
also why it's responsible to stay at home for a few days after events so tests+no symptoms can be verified.
being an artist is just decades of going "ugh I wish I knew how to draw" over and over again until you die
I choose love over hate.
And bigger love when love comes.

This is absolutely what the video shows. A person is wrestled to the ground by 6 ICE agents and then executed at point blank range.
They are executing unarmed people in the streets for trying to protect their neighbors with the full support of the federal government.

I tried modeling the Ocelot Shark as an experiment! Although I couldn't make the body in "blocks", I thought the result was cool! ✨
But I had forgotten how difficult it is to open texture maps... it's been years since I did that lol

Five cartoon insects drawn traditionally in a loose ink style. Leftmost is a moth wearing a short robe with wide pointed shoulders, holding up a simple magic staff and smiling in awe at some swirls and sparkles coming out of it. Second left, a moth with a furrowed expression stands with their hands in the pockets of their puffy jacket with a furry hood; they also have mid-length boots. Middle, a moth in a fairly simple magic robe with large round glasses looks worried off to their side, away from a book they are holding up in both hands. Fourth toward the right, a damselfly in a peacoat smiles and holds their arms out, seemingly humming with music notes above their head. Rightmost, a moth in a magic robe with a triangular front ornamented piece and a tiara on their head frowns while holding a curved magic staff at an angle in front of them with both hands.

There are people in the world who say that there are only two genders: male and female.
But the heart and soul have much more personality.
It's very sad that people who can't accept this sometimes utter very harsh words.
You were born to live freely.

Traditional drawing by Arukanoda. It features a stylized drawing of a paradox Latias, a cartoon-styled character that is white with red and teal markings. The background is decorated with golden colored shrubbery dappled with blue colored berries. The drawing was made with Ohuhu markers and prisamacolored colored pencils. Gift for Spiritsai.

I was always wondering why my hedgehogs looked so flat and boring... turns out they just needed some neck fat
Coda.
A picture of a small handmade felt pigeon plushie. Its body and beak are a warm grey with a purple head, wings and tail. It has two stripes on its neck: one teal and one a dark vintage pink that matches its two little feet. Its nose is white, as well as the two stripes on its wings. It has a happy and satisfied look on it’s face, with white embroidered closed eyes and a little pink blush
The back of the pigeon plushie, very similar to the front except that everything is a bit more to the front and the beak is not visible.

Every time someone adopted one of them, it reminded me that pigeons are not hated by everyone, and that thought really warms my heart.

Digital art of a cartoon Polyphemus moth in a layered blue robe with round glasses and feathery antennae, holding an open large book and glancing off to their side. They have a brown belt with a pouch, two gold keys hanging from their belt, and brown boots with curved designs and a couple tiny four-pointed stars. Their head and wings are tan and brown with some of the patterns typical of their species visible. The background is made up of various pieces of parchment with drawings and indecipherable handwriting. Signed by the artist, Moth Monarch.

screenshot of a post on facebook from Alex Lamoreaux, depicting two versions of the "same" photograph of a bobcat in front of a pine plantation, one labeled original game cam photo, one labeling AI processed the markings have been altered on the AI photo, and the head changed and resized text says: Oh! A neat goose hybrid posted to ‘What’s this Bird?’ but when you zoom in on the photos the bill details have been too manipulated by AI photo editing to be accurately assessed for which species may be involved. Scroll on… A cool-looking Red-tailed Hawk that someone is wondering which subspecies it might be - right up my alley! But when you zoom in on the photos literally every feather group has been so heavily manipulated and altered by AI editing that it’s impossible to determine subspecies because the photo is essentially fake now; just a mashup of whatever AI thinks parts of a Red-tail should look like. Scroll on… WOW! That’s a remarkable trail cam photo of a Bobcat! It almost looks like a painting!… but the head looks oddly small…. hmmmm. After some prodding the original photo is produced and sure enough it had been so heavily altered by AI ‘post processing’ that the photo posted was essentially a digital mock-up with totally different proportions and fur markings. No longer the photo off the trail cam; it may as well have just been ‘created’ by AI from scratch. This stuff is killing me. My days on social media are becoming very limited. We can’t even trust simple, everyday photos of animals to be real. The wildlife community needs to quit editing with AI, and we need to start calling out photographers that are using it. Our reality is being destroyed all around us.
this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing
these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous
this is worth sharing and educating people about
