My sweet, sweet puppy is home safe, sound, and sleeping. ๐Ÿ˜Š

When all of this happened, I was suffering from severe mental illnesses and ended up having to call my mom to take me back home across the state and have been working on becoming a productive member of society again. Now that I'm in a position that I can travel across the state, I'm gonna find her.

That's awful. I'm so sorry. In my case, the evil witch that found my baby decided that since I hadn't gotten her microchipped yet, despite my name and number being on her collar around her neck, that I obviously didn't care that much about her and said that's why she "kept" her. People suck.

Not 10 minutes later, I'm feeling SUPER nauseous and then throw up said meds only halfway digested. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Anyone whose thrown up medications knows they taste like ass coming back up. I can't tell if it's because I was withdrawing from meds or because of my wisdom teeth.

So I've been out of two of my night meds for a few days because I didn't realize I was out and then forgot again once I realized. One is my daily migraine meds. I've had a raging migraine for over 24 hours and I finally picked up my meds not long ago and took them, even though it's not night yet.

trailer park management trespass me from the trailer park, so I couldn't even go and physically get my cat when I did see her. Living creatures should never be considered "property." It's so wrong. 2/2

The judge was actually upset with me for even bringing the case to begin with because "it's just an animal" and said how stupid and what a waste of resources the entire thing was. I had no chance of getting my cat back through the courts and that was my only avenue left because she had the 1/

Pet caregivers have little to no legal recourse in general. A woman found my missing cat and removed her collar with my number and essentially stole her. I sued her for my cat back and the court planned a visit to see if she had her in her home, but she let her loose in her trailer park again.

Now I can sleep. I should work, but I need some sleep first. A nice little nap where I'm not jumping awake every fifteen minutes because that was my night. I set alarms every hour, but I woke up multiple times before they went off every hour because I was so worried for her.

Phew. My puppy is okay. She's resting and they're going to keep her overnight. She's so strong. ๐Ÿฅน

So I get home a little bit ago and see they're working on my balcony. Cool. I get inside and they knock on the sliding door and tell me they punched out some drywall and the complex will come fix it when they're done. ๐Ÿ˜‚ There's literal holes ALL OVER my wall by my sliding door.

Broooo. So I rushed my pup to the vet this morning. Lost my mind for a couple hours while we tried to figure out funding and finally got everything squared away. She's in surgery now, I'm guessing. They're going to call me when she's done to let me know how it went.

I don't get how, in 2026, no one has thought to regulate the field more. Veterinarians can abuse their job no differently than a human doctor can. The only difference is the type of animal they treat. I don't get how there aren't more laws regarding pets in general, honestly.

Where I was going with that rant on my uncle yesterday was this: even he doesn't have a savings from the sounds of it. Nor does my aunt who handles her money well. So that makes me feel SO MUCH better about not having my own savings.

They just took my pup back and said they were going to get started on her right away. They're going to call me when she's out of surgery to let me know how everything went. I'm so fucking worried and anxious. This is all my fault.

How is it that the exact same blood work done at my vet is $160 while the blood work at the emergency vet was like $271 or some stupid shit. Exact same thing. Way different prices.

They'll keep her for a day or two depending on how she's doing. So I'm guessing they'll charge me what I can pay today and then collect the rest by the time I pick her up, hopefully. That'd give me some time to figure it out. That price is MUCH more possible.

So I paid nearly $700 yesterday just to get her diagnosed with pyometra at the emergency vet. Today, my normal vet gave me an estimate of $2618.50 for the entire pyometra surgery. Half the cost the emergency vet said it's START at.

Paying for your mid 20s child anything is just crazy. Unless they go through something in life where they need the help, of course. I'm just talking about when they're first leaving the nest.

Have the kid pay one bill and add a bill every so many months or whatever. So they can work up to being comfortable paying their bills instead of just throwing it at them all at once when you finally get sick of it.

To be fair, they had good role models for financial responsibility whereas I definitely did not. I had to figure it out all on my own (still haven't) and that sucks. But the point is, under 18 is when you have no real responsibilities. Over 18, you should start adding them in.

Early college years, I can understand. Beyond the college years is where I'm like what the actual fuck? And realistically, a parent shouldn't cover EVERY expense even when they're in college. How do they learn any financial responsibility?

It was the entitlement and then subsequent confusion when no one else had that same entitlement. People like that aren't living in reality. Don't get me wrong, supporting your adult children should be more common and normalized.

Like I'm only paying for my own rent, utilities, renters insurance, car insurance, phone bill, gas, food, household supplies, and whatever else I need ALL ON MY OWN while still affording to go do the fun, extra stuff. Get the actual fuck outta here with that shit. Ooof. So mad.

And it's not even the fact that they had it and I didn't, though it does factor in, it's the fact that without fail, every time a financial struggle arose on my end, they were so confused as to how I didn't have any money because they do. Like BITCH YOU DID NOT JUST...

As I said, I'm jealous. Around that time in my life when I was thrown into the deep end, like many new adults are, nothing pissed me off more than some spoiled rich kid whose parents paid for every aspect of their life except the fun, extra stuff so they always had money for it.

I'm not complaining because I think I'm owed that money or anything, to be clear. I'm complaining because I can't imagine where I'd be in life right now if my parents had funded all of my college and living expenses for the first several years of my adult life. Somewhere much better, for sure.

Now, I know I'm just jealous, but imma say it all anyway. He does this despite two of them already having graduated college, one of those having gotten her doctor's coat, and the other is the youngest and has the best excuse of any of them to have his parents pay for his apartment. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Surprisingly, though I don't know why, he said he's paying for three apartments right now, so he really doesn't have any extra money. I should've seen that one coming. He's got three kids, of course he's paying for their apartments despite them all being grown.
