Thank you, Nate! We are really glad you were part of the symposium.
Got the opportunity to talk about the peer mindset context and which peers might be particularly influential to STEM undergrad's motivation at AERA 2026 last weekend! Thanks to @utkucaybas.bsky.social @allahemi.bsky.social for putting together such a diverse and interesting symposium.
Thank you so much, Brendan!
Honored to receive the Paul R. Pintrich Memorial Award from @aera-motsig.bsky.social at #AERA2026 for my dissertation study examining how peer socialization shapes math motivation. Grateful to my mentors, research assistants, and all the participants who made this study possible.
As #AERA2026 approaches, here’s my schedule!
Excited to be co-organizing a symposium on peer relations & motivation, including one of my dissertation papers examining how peer relations shape students’ math motivation over time.
Looking forward to the conversations in LA!

🎓 Today, I had the chance to speak with future teachers and researchers at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Education about why and how to prepare for graduate studies.
It was truly special to return as a speaker to the faculty I once graduated from!

A thread about being wrong:
5 years ago, we wrote a paper about how how newly enfranchised 16-year-olds vote in Austria. But we were wrong.
This year, @elisabethgraf.bsky.social, @schnizzl.bsky.social, Sylvia Kritzinger and I are setting the record straight: authors.elsevier.com/c/1juT5xRaZk...
New paper in JPSP with @elianeroy.bsky.social ! Here, we ask: Is measuring attitudes more like playing darts or more like searching for a prize in a ”claw” machine? More details in the thread below....
