It's a delightful book, as brisk, colourful, and entertaining as the film itself - which I watched just before devouring the whole book in one sitting (something I never usually do!)

It's been relocated to Miami so the essentially British corporate ineptness (is that a word?) has gone. As I've said elsewhere, I see enough stupid bloody Americans on the news every night without having to watch more of them in a 'comedy' series.
And don't even get me started on the new Twenty Twenty Six. How to kill off a great idea in one go. I switched off after the first episode.
It was awful wasn't it? And yet Jimmy, Roisin etc all guffawing behind the scenes as if it was comedy gold. I think only the joke about Romesh's lazy eye (like an olive in a tumble dryer or something) made me laugh.
I see enough stupid Americans on the news every night without having to watch more of them in what used to be a very funny series about inept corporate Britishness.
Hopefully at some point we can expect to see a documentary on Wiles that is as thorough and absorbing as the excellent Innes Lloyd one.
Classic
If you're only one episode in I'm afraid it doesn't get any better. And the staged 'joker' set-pieces are largely just embarassing.
The idea of the show is sound in principle but this second series really struggled. I think I laughed once in six episodes.
First FIFA Peace Prize winner to declare he's ending a whole civilisation.
Any hints yet on what the Archive special will be about...?
It has been an excellent series of books and I am glad to say I have bought every one* since the beginning. I still haven't read them all yet but part of the fun is deciding which to pick next!
*except Shalka. Sorry.
So it turns out the real scandal of the Gorton and Denton by-election was the willingness of media organisations to collude in Nigel Farage's attempt to undermine the result of a free and fair election

Yes it's depressing isn't it. Especially when you tell them you keep them in the sideboard next to the wireless.
Do they still call them singles these days?? Showing my age.
I'll be honest, I got a little choked up when I listened to the single. The vocal struggling just a tiny bit, the immense weight behind those simple words. If the whole album is like this it will be one of his very best.
No office will allow smoking, because of the risk of being sued over secondary smoke.
No shops or transport networks: same reasons.
No bar or restaurant would allow it, because 80% of customers hate it, and would stop going.
So who does this help?
Nobody.
Performative bullshit. Again.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well I wasn't expecting this to be out in the wild quite this early! Nice little surprise for the weekend. Ordered directly from CAMRA.
He was certainly afraid of Vietnam-style combat in Vietnam.
Attention BBC and Daily Mail newsdesks. It is being reliably reported that Reform UK MP Richard Tice dodged a £600,000 tax bill. Where's the media coverage?
Then again I still think La La Land should have won over Moonlight, so what do I know.
I went to Sinners with almost no knowledge or expectations and absolutely loved it. I went to OBAA with everyone from Spielberg and Scorsese down roaring its praises, and honestly couldn't see what all the fuss was about.
I love PT Anderson but like so many films in recent times, this one was over-hyped so much that by the time I actually saw it I was like, "Oh, right. Was that it?"
Oh my
"Savage Green army". I mean, what the actual f*ck??

Blimey. So by January next year we'll be on issue 400. Issue 300 feels like only yesterday 😟
