Birmingham, my home city, is a fantastic city, with fantastic people- a success story. It has its problems, like anywhere. But the obsession the online right has with it is as transparent as it gets.
Whenever I think of Ozzy I think not of the world renown, hedonistic rock star and more the man strolling about his palatial LA home, moaning about the cat and/or dog defecation in the kitchen in the broadest of Birmingham accents. A genuine legend, RIP.

One of the strangest ironies of the last ten years has been watching Britain immersing itself as deeply as ever in memories of WW2 while proudly turning its back on the project that emerged from it.
