"The BBC World Service has compiled material on over 160 cases where children have been shot in Gaza, and found that in 95 cases the child was shot in the head or the chest. In most of these cases the victim was under 12 years old"
The left have been weak on messaging, in general, leaving the right to say what they want. In Portugal, far right placed billboards with empty slogans all along major roads. Public pass by with grievances & think these guys will fix it. No contradictory signs up. Chega are now official opposition!
🧵 1/9 It could have mattered.
Nine minutes and twenty-nine seconds deprived of oxygen should have chastened the world to become allies, and not just for a summer.
A man being murdered by those who should protect and serve should have been an indelible metaphor.
Fun fact: My daughter was about 11 years old before she realised that the Gruffalo was a fictional creature & not a forest animal.
We were told, recently, by a guide at a reserve, that removing a rhino’s horn to protect it from poachers has a negative impact on its lifespan. The only solution is anti-poaching units, made up of individuals who risk their lives to protect these beautiful creatures.
This one, in Johannesburg, South Africa; Love the way it reflected on the building!
Seen at my local supermarket, in Portugal, today! 💫
I live in Portugal. In the same way that I never order items from the US. I now no longer purchase from the UK.
A key moment in my deciding to go vegan was seeing a poster with farm animals on one side & pets on the other. A red line divided them & the question running beneath the image read, “Where do you draw the line?” This, in conjunction with reading about ewes bleating after their lambs were taken away.
Spectacular! I want to live inside this painting!

Exactly! 🙌🏼
I went vegan after I read a novel which opened with a character, on a farm, unable to sleep due to the sound of the ewes bleeding all night for their missing lambs!

Maybe Denmark will get in first! 😉 “Måke Califørnia Great Ægain”
Unbearable! 🥲 Daughter’s colleague asked after an elderly man who used to work at a storage company, wondering if he’d retired. Everyone shocked when heard he’d “gone back to the slaughter house”. Shouldn’t be a surprise; if you eat meat, you are part of that system & someone has to do that task.
Muitos Parabéns from Portugal! 🎉🎉🎉
Diversity is a fact: All kinds of people exist.
Equity is a goal: All kinds of people deserve a chance at success.
Inclusion is how we get to equity. By including them, they can achieve success.
It's that simple.
Uncharacteristically productive on this rainy day in Portugal: walked the dogs, visited clinic for post India hepatitis booster & passed by the dentist to make an appointment. Just sat down to my marmite toast & a cup of earl grey. Happy Friday everyone!
Each movement is genius, especially as the marble often gets flipped back to an area which has recently snapped or dropped to create a new diversion. Just wow! 🙌🏼🧡
Reform hasn’t got to this point organically. They have got to this point via foreign money, Russian interference, disinformation, mass manipulation, disproportionate MSM coverage and being constantly massively boosted by right wing social media companies. There is fuck all democratic about it.
Daughter works for a sports events management company in the UK. Tesla loaned them a fleet of cars to travel to events, in return for lining them up at the finish line or similar. Even before his salute, the company felt they could not support his association with Trump & declined further collabs.
I hoard my favourite brand! ☺️
I don’t know this brand (I live in Portugal) but crunchy & roasted are the two prerequisites for me to indulge!
