Actually that's what my dad did. He had a Magnavox cabinet with color TV, phonograph, AM/FM radio and big speakers. The TV tube died after about 20 years, so he removed the TV and put in a flat screen TV that fit the hole more or less. He kept using the cabinet until he passed away.

I read the book in HS, then watched the TV series, and it was excellent up until the last season, but then the writers threw in a bunch of last-minute plot twists that spoiled it for me.

For those of you who have never tried Linux at home, I recommend trying Linux Mint or Zorin OS (which is just a different version of Linux) Either one is relatively easy for a Windows user to install and use. There's a learning curve of course, but it's MUCH easier than it was 5-10 years ago.

You can do the same with an iPhone. I use an app called Offline Music Player that allows you to download music mp3 files to your computer, then transfer them to you iphone for listening. I use ear buds, not a headphone, and I have about 2000 songs downloaded onto my iphone.
