Two months ago I started watching #ParksAndRecreation. Usually, I watch it while on the treadmill but his weekend, I’ve been watching it while I clean and organize (aka “procrastiworking”). I’m up to Season 4, Episode 6 now. 52 episodes in… and I still dislike the Tom Haverford character.

Do I hope the last two projects materialize? Sure I do.

Would invest again in an effort to bring them to life? Yes, I would.

But I have a feeling that other backers on that platform aren’t that generous or forgiving.

Things could’ve been worse… life moves on.

One project was a scam. I lost about $18.

Another was a comic book built around the creator’s relative during wartime Germany. That was about a $25 investment.

The third was a massively ambitious collection spanning 20 years of online web comics. Pitched in $250 on that one. Then COVID happened.

I’ve backed over 90 Kickstarter projects over the last decade including books, anthologies, card games, board games, and some video games/hardware. I’ve backed 3 projects that are overdue by 5 years or more and I don’t fault them at all. It’s an investment. Not all projects come to fruition. 🤓

I’m obsessed with these #StarWars #Doorables. I bought a crap ton to use as motivators for getting things done. Finish a project, open a Death Star. Complete a major task, open a Death Star. Yes, I do know how old I am. #NeverGrowUp

I watched Super 8 tonight. Still holds up after a dozen years. When it came out, I watched it twice in 24 hours (a midnight show and a matinee). Still think that JJ’s creatures are all related: the Super 8 creature (Cooper), the one from Cloverfield (Clover), and his Star Trek film (Big Red). 🤣
