And just like me, it doesn't sleep right.
It woke up once... And now doesn't... Ugh
Headlessly?!
Vacuum cleaners hate this one trick
Americans, upon hearing my voice, have accused me of being a youtuber, this is both a compliment and an insult... so:
"thank you" and "what do you meaaaaaannnnnnn?!"
Probably the choice of microphone in any case.
Anyone for bets on sleep working as intended?
Who uses sound on the internet???
This gonna take a while...
What do you meeeeeeaaaaaaannnnnn
Works great!
Big test incoming...
You are not wrong. What I did was asking for trouble lol
Using the vscode flatpak could be trouble ๐ค
Annnnndddd KDE broke. Tried to open the panel config and it died. killall -9 plasmashell required >.>
To try Bazzite I removed loads of windows games then shrank the game drive partition. This had me worried because now Bazzite is sharing a drive with existing stuff and isn't first partition on the drive. Doing this kind of this historically was a recipe for problems.
It worked fine.
On hardware involved (matters a lot):
5800X, 32gb 3600, ax370-gaming k5
6800XT (probably critical for the success of today: Older AMD card)
Stupid drive config, sata SSD, nvme drive. 3 x hdd (installer didn't explode)
2560x1440@60 + 3440x1440@100 displays
Onboard sound + external sound interface
Absolutely worth trying Bazzite. Give it a glowing recommendation so far!
@bazzite.gg has been the best desktop experience I've had on Linux to date.
Minimal setup, flatpak'ed apps work very well. Sound, monitors, games (so far) work excellently. Loving KDE 6.
darktable runs... need to figure out various things here (not Bazzite related)
It's been almost... boring ๐
*understands enough to use darktable-cli*
*begins learning flatpak*
Not a fan of Edge barrier 100px KDE. Can see future me regretting turning it off though.
Loading the 20 year old Firefox profile was tricky for reasons beyond me but it works now. Probably not Bazzite related.
Sound device switching is better than Windows (notably faster).
Incredible.
First impressionsb after installation: incredible.
Desktop works, both screens working, correct resolve AND refresh rate.
KDE has the task bar on the secondary screen BY DEFAULT. The way is should be (not an option on W11).
UEFI config looks pretty sane.
Now to start breaking stuff.
Dreading the UEFI config the installer is going to come up with. Given the Windows drive is still installed, and worse, it's going onto a disk that also has another partition already on it...
This gonna be messy
Bazzite on the desktop day. A moment in time worth noting. Haven't Linux'ed the main desktop since 2007.
Wish me luck.
Hard disagree (on both counts)
Same! But bad for calories D:
"STOP" ...
You nearly did ๐จ
Can't be trusted with hats either
Is that a gun in your pocket...
