Working from bottom to top, The bottom most layer consists of purple petals and purple sepals which look similar, but the sepals have a more rounded tip while the petals have a sharper tip. There are five petals and five sepals which alternate (petal, sepal, petal, sepal, etc). The next layer is the corona which contains thin, squiggly radial filaments, also purple that go from a dark purple in the center of the flower to pale purple at the end of the filaments. Out of the center of the flower rises the ovary from which five pale yellow anthers that look like narrow coffee beans grow. On top of that layer are three stigmas, a pale blend of pale yellow and lavender. There is one unopened passion flower at the top of the image. The background are green leaves.
