I dunno, maybe it's just my specific neurodivergence, but unless I know someone's intent, I get so mad when people don't bother to be more specific about stuff like this, it feels like they either assume I can read their minds, or they're hiding something from me.

Same thing with anyone who criticizes porn, just outright TELL me if you're referring to the mainstream adult film industry or if you're talking about all erotic media broadly. You know how loosely people use that word?

I propose that everyone who criticizes "fandom" give at least SOME indication about whether or not they mean EVERYONE who enthuses about a thing, creates stuff for it, analyzes it, ships, etc., or if they mean the really obsessive/toxic cliquey parts of a fandom, because I use the former definition.
