This is the subtle genius of Dragon Ball.
Vegeta kills his partner but Goku saves his.
This simple difference tells the story of this battle. Goku values life while Vegeta does not. Gohan and Krillin are literally the difference maker in this battle. All the while Vegeta was left outgunned.

The vast VAST majority of folks don’t like how they sound recorded. This is why it’s something that’s worth getting past.
That’s difficult to say. Mostly because I am far more familiar with the manga and have only seen the Z portion of the story.
If I had to pick off the top of my head… Maybe the Kaioken x20 on Namek. That was pretty cool.
