I want to push my coloring skills some, so instead of copying colors directly how I'm seeing them, I'm going to push them farther into different color tones. This one turned out pretty good! I used Himi gouache for this in my Talens sketchbook.

I got some Royal Talens Art Creations sketchbooks, and I've been trying them out with my favorite mediums! I sketched this one with alcohol markers and a Uni One gel pen. It turned out super cute but the marker did bleed through. Any recommendations for a mixed media sketchbook?

I got a Himi gouache palette a while ago and never opened it. Finally got the motivation to open it and try it out. I hate them lol. They don't act anything like my Holbein's... Looked into it and I guess I'm not the only one who thinks they are kinda dog. Oh well, I'll use it for experimenting #art

I wanted to turn this previous sketch into a full illustration because I liked it so much! The perspective is way better and I also think the overall composition is better. There are a few things I'm not happy with and where my skills fall short, so I will come back to this after I do some studying.

I've been playing around with colors and pen work lately. I wanted to study flowers more and get better at depicting them, so I made some little watercolor rectangles and drew flowers that were close in color to the one I laid down ^^ I love how this turned out. They look like little stamps!

I did a small concept sketch of these two cuties! I like how it turned out but the bg was not done in perspective (oops). I decided to turn this into a full illustration, so for the full illustration I'll fix the perspective and other issues. But overall, I really like how it turned out :)

Tried the smooth Rhodia Touch sketchbook with watercolor, but it doesn't take up the pigment very well. May be something about the coating of the paper. Maybe it's suitable for gouache, so perhaps I'll try that for this sketchbook instead!

My first full dual page illustration! I was really scared of making this two pages at first but I am so happy that I did. It was challenging to match the colors because the middle had some glue, which made the colors look weird in some parts. I really enjoyed working on this!
