I’ll do the SPCA of Wake co. It’s where we got this guy
Serious question: has Carolina won a single goal challenge this year?
Oh fun. 🙄
Tuxedo cat in a Kirby Waddle dee hat, looking majestic, with a brown tabby lurking in the background.
Our Tuxedo, Gordie, wearing his Christmas gift, a Waddle see hat. He looks so majestic. Mats looks irritated in the background. #cats.
(I know I’m not the first to make the joke… but I couldn’t help myself.)
So you CAN spell Canes w/o Necas? 🤔. I’ll miss Necas, but I’m happy we kept KK. This def could work.
It is a truly awesome cover, and I pre-ordered it. If you ever call me hysterical, my uterus will free itself from the confines of your body and beat you within an inch of your life. Feral? eh, yeah, probably. 😁
Grey teddy bear on a pink and white baby blanket
Crocheted gray teddy bear on a pink and white baby blanket.
I made this blanket and bear for my cousin’s new baby girl. I feel like my crochet skills are growing. #crochet 🧶
I may or may not feel called out by this... not with DMB, of course...
My students and I watched that film. One student hates it, which is always awesome! (I really like it).

I teach college and a lot of my students are excited when I talk genre fiction. Increasingly, I’m finding students who’ve newer read a whole novel. It’s not just the subject matter. Their teachers aren’t readers either.
Honestly, one way is to talk about what you wrote. The students I’ve had that used AI literally could not explain their papers without reading from them. If you wrote it, you’ll be able to explain it enough to show you did. Physical proof? Yeah, notes, version histories, etc.
My first car was a Ford Escort too. Now I’m still driving the first car I bought as a grown up. A 2000 mini cooper. It still runs fine. My dad drove a TransAm from ‘97-2023 when it was totaled. I loved that car.
Mats showing his stick who’s boss on the stairs. #cats
One of my favorite medieval things. I have a version that’s a kind of children’s picture book. This poem helped me through my dissertation as my cat (Ms. Jones) sat with me while I worked. She did not hunt mice, but she was great company!
Why does this one of my darling idiot #cats do this?
You left out light Aran, heavy Aran, “it’s more like a worsted than a bulky but it is called bulky” and “discontinued forever.” “Always swatch” is the “stay 100ft back; not responsible for damage to windshield” of the crafting world.
This is why I like it here. I’m still getting surprise tits in my feed, but they are the right kind of tits!!
This is one of the best articles on why tech sucks that I've ever read. It's a long read, but excellent, clear, and smart as hell.

Holiday themed cardboard “cat castle”
Built my #cats their Christmas castle today. I’m laying odds it won’t outlast the new year before they destroy it. But, whatever. They love doing that, so, Merry Christmas to them!
Grading is DONE!
Hey #AcademicSky has anyone assigned a video game for a course? There are lots of ways this could go badly, console exclusives are out. But is buying a $5-70 game more of an ask than a $5-500 textbook? I've had students write EXCELLENT papers on video games, and am tempted to assign one. Thoughts?
Great article. I played Mouthwashing because a student wanted to write a paper on it. Great game. Great paper, too. He really got it, and had some super interesting stuff to say. This was for a Death and Dying class. I hope they port this to console soon.
Is there a possible world in which humanities students could use AI to create all their schoolwork, humanities faculty could use AI to grade all the schoolwork, and then students and faculty could just read stuff, hangout in classrooms, and learn? #AcademicSky
That was my exact thought. He and Evans should have teamed up to save Santa’s favorite elf, the Rock. The other half of the film would be the Rock progressively needing less and less saving, with Krampus.
I wish it had more Simmons. I’d watch that man roll his eyes and be sarcastic forever. And even be sweet like he was in this too.
Around 38-40. I can’t remember which cities in TX and OK I’ve been in.
I have watched folks play it, and I had a student write an absolutely brilliant paper on it for a Death and Dying in Lit class last year. Video games can be so awesome!
