Wife, who has the final authority per the will, is significantly more stressed about deciding what to, than the stress of the sudden loss.

My MIL died this weekend. All her life, she refused to talk about "morbid things."
Unsure what she wanted, at the end they defaulted to doing everything, including CPR on an 87 year old dying of a stroke.
Do you know how traumatic CPR is to an elderly patient and to the family witnessing it?

My parents died in 2022, 2024. We knew exactly what they wanted, what they feared & what they did not want.
Withdrawing care was hard to do, but there was no ambiguity or indecision at a stressful time.
Funeral arrangements were understood.
It made a very stressful time easier.

I had the most realistic dream of my life. My dad convinced me to travel to Japan in his place for his new business venture.
I woke up, actually logged into my Delta account and started looking for flights before I realized it was a dream any my dad died 4 years ago.
