I think he said something to the affect of “By all means try to release this on PlayStation too!” And we exchanged business cards.
I looked down at the card as he was walking away and my eyes went wide, and the CEO of my company who saw the whole thing was just like “Dude”

I had the pleasure of meeting Yoshida-san at BitSummit 2 years ago.
He said something to me in English and I responded by asking in Japanese if I could show him the game my company at the time was exhibiting (without realizing who he was).
He was super friendly, humble and supportive.
KOTOR 1 + 2 without a doubt. I was born for it... too bad the actual remake is seemingly trapped in limbo.
Oh yeah, I've been working in the Japanese game industry for 4 years now. Weird.
My wife was one of those who got cut lol… I was like that thing belongs in a museum anyways
Lol the marketing got me on this one... still haven't cracked it open yet though.
Today marks the beginning of that annual intermediate period when living in a Japanese apartment of switching between your space heater and your fan as the day progresses...
Just going to throw this bandcamp link up here too...

Only 100 pages into Infinite Jest but already really enjoying it, one of the coolest books I've read in recent years. And, much more importantly, it makes me feel smart and cool to TELL people I'm reading it.

Congrats Sean!
Extremely cool that PC Gamer is talking about why Awaysis is bringing the SILLY to dungeon brawling. The demo is on Steam Next Fest nowwwwww! 🐸⚔️

Blessed to see the legendary emo band Jawbreaker in Osaka Japan… waiting on an almost non existent line right now…
Welp, looks like my quarter-life crisis has naturally progressed into a midlife crisis without even taking a 5-minute non-crisis break.
I forgot how much I like this band

Imagine saying to someone “How dare you try to hand me a False Werther’s”
Sorry for your loss Dale 😢
I have failed my battle against the impulse to stop myself rom playing WoW classic because I knew it would consume my life... between that and my constant replaying of Kotor1+2, my regression to 2005 brain is complete.
I also decided not to go this year because my thinking is that it’s better to use that time to focus on making/finishing games. It’s always cool getting to hang out but I also feel like sometimes you just have to step back and focus on creating.
Maybe it's just a symptom of dopamine addiction or something, but when you're staring at a tool day in and day out for years on end, it might be nice if that tool feels a bit more like a toy, something that's actually fun to interface with. Aseprite is a good example of this imo.
One thing I really wish I could see more of: Fun custom UI/skin designs for major game engines like Unity and Unreal.
That “Time and energy” lyric gives me TGUK vibes in a really satisfying way that lets me feel the evolution of the genre.
Every time I consume a piece of media I enjoy I have a horrific impulse to shift the focus of my life to making my something similar, someone please help me lol
This so where I’ve been at the last couple of years lol
Btw I sometimes make weird, kind of bad art. No AI though of course.
I wish someone would force me to stop being impulsive creatively and just focus on finishing one thing lol…
The way it’s so annoying to find a single platform where you can consistently stream the movies you want to watch makes me feel like dvd rental/stores could weirdly become a thing again. After a lot of us have game consoles we can watch them with anyways right?
The kunrei style was one of the most mind-boggling things for me when I first moved here... it's just like... who is it for? The whole point of romaji readings (at least in most cases) is to convey Japanese words to the rest of the world right..?
