Cool. My grandfather was #antifa too when he fought for the USA during WW2.

They are already declaring the No Kings protest to be "antifa,"which the Trump Admin now designates as terrorists (which is not a legal thing he can do, domestically). Oct 18 will be an enormous test of free speech. A large turnout is more important than ever. Don't be intimidated! nokings.org

The only logical conclusion I can draw is that our enemy owns some justices too. And that enemy is Putin.

Kimmel is back, but many Americans won’t be able to watch.

Two companies — Nexstar and Sinclair — control hundreds of local TV stations and have business deals pending Donald Trump’s approval.

They won’t air Kimmel tonight.

I’m pressing for answers on potential corruption.

We need to do more voting with our wallets.

His rant was unhinged and made zero sense. It also contradicted Kennedy’s ACIP meeting last week. This administration is so dysfunctional it can’t even keep its conspiracy theories straight.

We hold the power here. Not the Trump administration, not his cronies. Companies will capitulate to whoever holds power over them, and at the end of the day, the ultimate power is held by the consumers purchasing their products.

Our battle against authoritarianism isn't going to be on the battlefield - it will be at the stores, streaming services, and every other place where we consume. When companies capitulate to a dictator, we need to boycott them. HARD.

Blue states account for approximately 71% of America’s GDP, whereas red states produce about 29% - that is a HUGE difference. That's a difference that not only we as consumers can exploit, but state governors can also exploit.

#Disney caving and bringing #JimmyKimmel back shows the power that we have here. And this is something we need to take vote of in this moment when it's easy to feel powerless. Money talks in the #USA and consumerism can be power. Disney caved because Disney was hemorrhaging money.

I want to see the conspiracy theorists eat one another.

I think this shows us exactly where our power resides. Whether we like it or not, money is what rules here and we have the power to force the hands of corporations with our money. Blue states have more wealth overall, and represent greater spending power. That's our leverage and we need to use it.

As always, this is a bizarre rant that not only goes against what even the 🧠🪱 packed ACIP just voted on and basic logic. What the fuck has happened in this country?

Trump also said that hep B is ONLY sexually transmitted and there's no need to vaccinate babies (this is NOT true: hep B can be transmitted through bodily fluids during birth, or after birth in the home or hospital or day care setting, hence why we vaccinate at birth).

He then said that vaccines should not be given together. That separate vaccines should be given for measles mumps and rubella and varicella. Never mind that ACIP just voted that the MMRV vaccine could continue to be administered.

Now he's back to Tylenol and said that Cuba doesn't have Tylenol or autism (WTF). And that people should just not take Tylenol when pregnant.

The difference is that the Amish access specialists less, so formal diagnoses are less common. They also less frequently access services that would require a formal diagnosis.

He stated that the amish don't have autism and don't vaccinate their kids and therefore vaccines cause autism (basically). Neither of these statements are true. Having worked in the Amish community, some do vaccinate their children and they ABSOLUTELY have autism and other disabilities.

Trump is rambling and stating that pregnant women shouldn't take Tylenol during pregnancy unless they "can't tough it out." WTF is he talking about? After rambling about that for a few minutes, he then digressed into talking about vaccines and this is where it gets crazy.

I am watching the Trump press conference announcing the "connection" between Tylenol and autism (for which there is no substantive evidence of connection but I digress).

This situation is EXACTLY what the #firstamendment was written for. Even if you disagree with what people are saying, recognize that if the GOVERNMENT can silence them, it can silence you too.

Kamala Harris reacts to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ being pulled off the air:

“This administration is attacking critics and using fear as a weapon to silence anyone who would speak out. Media corporations — from television networks to newspapers — are capitulating to these threats.”

This is the only thing that makes sense at this point. It's why they are destroying the constitution, decimating public health, and tanking the economy. Russia found a way to invade us without firing a single shot.

If they can do this to one, they can do it to anyone no matter their politics. That's why we have the #FirstAmendment #1A

I am no constitutional scholar, but I can't help but feel that "the President gets to dictate what every university can teach and what every television station should broadcast" is closer to what the founding fathers were worried about when it comes to free speech than trigger warnings on syllabi.

There’s a lot to be angry about with mainstream media.

But the Wall Street Journal got personally and directly threatened by the President of the United States. And they said ‘fuck you’ and ran their well-sourced story anyway.

Credit.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump want to go after Social Security and Medicare.

Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s Elon happily telling a host: “That’s the big one to eliminate.”

Easy to say when you’re the world’s richest man. Not so easy when you’re a senior depending on both.
