Playing out around the back sometimes attracts criticism, but today #saintsfc executed it brilliantly & at pace (with an element of risk) switching play from one side to another. Some quality plays out.

Whoever we got in the QF would be tough, think a home draw is all you can ask for. The power of the cup for #saintsfc is probably building a bit of unity, fan positivity & momentum into the run in - although the revised fixture list will test squad depth to its limits

FFC is a great away day, shame KO was 12 but it’s a lovely ground & great place to watch football. Great cup win, team performance & THB immense. We’d done enough in the 1st half to lead, & while their better players started to get more ball time 2nd half they never really tested us. #saintsfc

Home from #swfc watching #saintsfc overall a good result & builds on a good run. Game never really got out of first gear, was like a friendly & saints away end pretty subdued. Wednesday fans on the left were lively - their players should have acknowledged them more at the end.
Lots of the ball but not much end product. Charlton loaded to defend & we couldn’t break them down. Shame a big opportunity to push up. #saintsfc

That was the sort of cup game where you willed anyone to score to avoid extra time. #saintsfc I enjoyed seeing some of the younger players & the pricing /availability meant my son & couple of his mates came. They especially enjoyed a bit of independence at the back of the stand.
I remember West Ham leading WBA 3-0 in November 2003 at Upton Park only for them to capitulate and the Baggies leave with all 3 points.
