Why tf would our national broadcaster give air time to Trump voters to legitimize the questioning of our sovereignty?

Why are you taking calls from Americans though? Why do they deserve a voice on our sovereignty?

There is no crossborder "conversation" to be held about sovereignty. Sure, we Canadians can talk about it. And Americans can listen. But unless we are already no longer sovereign, they don't get a say. That's the *entire* point of sovereignty.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

I hope Ontarians look around and realize that this is Ford's fault - this is the path we're on if we keep voting for him. If we want better, we have to convince our friends and neighbours to vote differently.

This is a remarkable moment. Trump and Vance sit there in silence, as a bishop pleas with them to lean on their better angels and not follow through with their depraved campaign promises that target the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants.
