On a more personal note, researchers work for years to secure funding from NIH. I have been a grant funded researcher for nearly 20 years, with countless grant submissions leading to a handful of funded projects. Researchers like me are dedicated to improving health. We need your support.

You’ve probably heard about cuts to NIH. I have had one grant terminated so far. Work in HIV prevention and treatment is being heavily targeted because we work with vulnerable populations considered DEI. Why? These groups have higher rates of HIV and poorer health outcomes. This is devastating.
