Had some thoughts very similar to this. I think the overriding feeling has to be that *none* of this should have to happen to *any* of us
A store front that either reads "We're not happy 'til you're not happy" or alternatively "We're you're not 'til not happy"
I also enjoy the classics
There's something about the immediacy of the crescent Earth dwarfed by the Moon and disappearing behind it, and then the feed cutting out, that my brain went "wow, they're *really* out there". Like I'd forgotten this wasn't sci-fi for a moment

I think that was the episode where I realized how good the show really is. Partly because of the animation, but mostly because I didn't think it could nail earnestness like that
these paintings by German painter Markus Matthias Krüger are pretty much exactly what i envision the zelda 1 map actually looking like in practical terms

If anything that's a rejection of Death of the Author. The whole point is the individual reader's experience *makes* the meaning, not that meaning exists unto itself. And to use this to claim that characters (much less LLMs) can feel is just.. a wild non-sequitur
Just to make sure I have this right, are you asserting that a story has intrinsic meaning absent those involved in the telling? Or that a character along with their fictional emotional experience is in any sense "real" beyond their function to that story?
I was unprepared for how beautiful some of these shots were going to be

Very well put. It's trying to replace a culture of deterministic rigor and attention to detail with "close enough, probably"
Yess, Miyajima was a highlight when I went a couple years ago. Did you get to walk around by the gate before the water came in?
Small vent animation i did couple of weeks ago.

Tempted to frame and hang this thread on my wall as a shining example of why I distrust LLMs for coding. It's fraught even if you're careful, malpractice if you're not.
Logos for HBOMax, Telegraph, Gmail, Google, YouTube, and Netflix that have all been redesigned to look like they're from the 1980s.
Kinda in love with these tech logos redesigned with a 1980s look by Kostya Petrenko (@kxdgraphics on Instagram). He's got a bunch more, too:
