i feel it is also worth noting that nothing about my art would look the way it does if I didn't draw and ink traditionally. That "liquid line" people love is the product of using analog tools and drawing from the shoulder at an easel for decades. All my comics pages are ink on paper.

i would like to read a book about this effect on sons, as someone who loves and has loved many men who were terribly wounded by emotionally absent fathers!

i want to get the pdf of this but am resonating a lot with how this book talks about a psychic deadening that takes place in men generally and fathers specifically, and how that deadening then lives inside their daughters (largely undetected).

I don’t know how people keep forgetting that workers rights were entirely written in blood and the capital class had to be threatened with violence before they agreed to things like 8 hour working days and 2 day weekends.
