Most of my faves are from gens 3 and 4, even though I didn't play Ruby/Sapphire until after I played Diamond. I played a lot of Colosseum though. HG/SS are my favorite games and hit the sweet spot of Gen 2 nostalgia plus modernized features when they came out. Plus the pokéwalker was a fun gimmick.

These are fun! Here's my list of Pokémon. The last games I played were Sun and Moon (mid) and I completely fell off after that, hence no Best Dynamax slot.

My soapbox is that games' online communities actually benefit from either a rough launch or a sleepy launch because the hype chasers and haters eventually move on and the real ones stay. This ends up being a big win for everyone who actually enjoys the game if the devs continue to support it

It's a valid criticism and I agree with you. I wouldn't say NMS is or ever was GOTY material but not every game needs to be GOTY material to be a perfectly fun way to spend one's time

I literally just started playing Starfield again on Sunday. I stopped playing it shortly after launch because I couldn't tune out all the hate the game was getting and it was dragging down my opinion of the game. Hopefully now that the haters have moved on I can actually get into it!
