What’s up, BlueSky asking… Well, quite a few things, to be honest, including missiles and drones flying towards UAE 🇦🇪😵‍💫

Today’s task is to figure out what would be best for a four-year-old - start school in UAE (most likely the British curriculum) or spend a year in nursery and then start school the following year. Afterschool is still an open question 🤔
Any suggestions based on personal experience?

Today I’ve spent good amount of time on researching how to relocate our furry friend 🐈 to UAE 🇦🇪 in theory it looks relatively simple:
- valid permit
- valid vaccinations
- valid passport
- pay fee on arrival (~500AED)

Unless I am missing something. What is your experience?

Character limit on BlueSky always reminds me of the days before mobile Internet (yes, I’m 🦕), when you had to shorten every word in message just to fit a full story into one SMS with a strict character limit.

Do you often rewrite your original thoughts or just use comments to finish them? 🙃

Returning to hands-on frontend coding 💻 after years away (or “around” 😁).

Brain: “I’ve forgotten everything! Is jQuery still around? 🤔 React? Where to start? At least I remember semi-colons exist! What do you mean “sometimes”?”

So, let’s see if frontend is still my best friend 😁

Still in early research phase (while the tipping point of telling in-laws is done 🫣), which mostly means:
- opening enormous amount of tabs (rent, schools, visas)
- making plans
- questioning those plans (thanks to the new Irish law for landlords)
- making new plans!
