Obviously there was a conversation before this that this kind of fit into to.

I highly recommend yelling “your cock” at your husband while you’re having lunch together. 😂
Flustered him so much he left to head back to work without his phone. He just came back for it which got me laughing again.
Soon!
And before he left he said he could pick his brother up after practice because he finishes a bit before W does, works perfectly.
16yo takes care of trash/recycling/returnables, it’s trash day, he found we didn’t have any green bags (city trash bags we have to use), so he drove himself to the grocery store for them. Having an extra driver is FANTASTIC. He also picked up some muffins because he could. 😆
Husband standing in our front window waving, waving, waving at our 16yo who’s heading off to play tennis with friends, as soon as 16yo waves back, husband flips him off.
😂 I cackled
My 16yo just ran to me, I’m in the bathroom, he yelled through the door “it’s cookies!” I yelled back “I know, I bought them”
Why is he like this 😆
He never bothered me while in the bathroom when he was a toddler.
Yay, the office will be getting profit sharing for the first quarter of the year (not looking great for Q2). Great timing, as the big kid needs a new phone.
I mean, his is an iPhone 7, we knew it’d die someday.
Me looking at the dicks sporting goods website for cleats for the younger kid and the older one says “you should find him some cleats with dicks on them”
😆 these kids
They are 16 and almost 13
Big kid’s phone is pretty much dead. It’s an iPhone 7, honestly I’m just amazed it’s lasted this long.
16yo “Is there a treat for me?”
@chaddah.bsky.social “We didn’t buy dog biscuits”
I love the late winter/early spring Maine weather. Woke up to snow covering everything. The 12yo has baseball practice this morning, inside like all winter, but they’d planned to do some outside today. The snow is now gone and they ARE outside, it’s 35 & sunny, but you’d think it was 65 & sunny.
Husband to our 16yo “pull my finger”
16yo reaches out but looks skeptical so he doesn’t, husband says “can I pull yours?” 16yo shakes his head no.
Husband pulls his own finger, I cackle.
I’m having flashbacks to my childhood, I had an uncle that did that all the time.
I’m still crying 😂
I really don’t like that this year’s calendar (from March to December) is the same as it was in 2020. It just doesn’t make me feel good.
It’s currently 56° and I just had to open my office window because it’s too warm in here. It’s very spring like.
Someone just said “hi Jess” to me at BJs in Bangor, who was it? An old coworker? A friend of my parents? An online friend?
W is very amused that I’m not sure.
Fuuuuuuuuuck
I bought a different yogurt, figured I’d try something that’s a little cheaper (we eat a lot of yogurt in this house). I took one bite and immediately looked at the ingredients, knowing exactly what I’d find. It has stevia in it. I hate the taste of stevia.
I know my day is busy when I eat lunch at my desk and it takes me an hour and a half to finish a sandwich. But the good news is I worked through lunch so I can cut out an hour early.
Shot, and one-hell-of-a-chaser.
16yo has very similar new driver stories as @chaddah.bsky.social & I do but ours never involved robots.
“There are all these glowing eyes… I saw a robot trying to get around some snow, it kept running into it”
We did not have to watch for robots when we were his age.
This whole having a teen that can drive himself is a real game changer. He had a late track meet yesterday, don’t get home until around midnight, he drove himself. He just went out to pickup lunch for the family while we stay home. ❤️
Can you imagine me using that hashtag? 😆 Yuck!
I love my boys but some days they come home from school, both come into my office to talk, then one of them farts and they both take off. Of course neither of them will admit they are the cause of the awful smell. And here I am stuck with it. 😒
Have extra food on hand, make sure your stuff is fully charged and load a few favorite movies on them in case you need some entertainment if you end up with no power, get some new books from the library, have candles at the ready, check your generator. Be ready for the worst.
I’ve seen some interesting posts this morning about the incoming storm. Here’s the thing, if you over prepare for a storm that ends up being a dud, it’s ok. If you underprepare you might find yourself fucked.
Made the big kid and I flu shot appointments, he’s going to be so mad when he sees the notification pop up on his phone. I added an appointment following it for ice cream. Maybe that’ll lessen the stress. 😆 it won’t. He HATES shots
He’d hate having the flu more.
Maine weather, currently 40° (up to mid 40s mid day), 16yo is wearing shorts to school.
It’s hard to argue with him about it, he goes from home, to car, to school, with minimal outdoor time.
And I just hit a death in The Last Devil to Die that got me. Ugh 😞
This is why I tend to stick with romance.
He got trash bags, bananas AND muffins for tomorrow’s breakfast. I love this kid.
Chad’s working on getting him a card. First kid, we have no idea what we’re doing 😆
When it’s W’s turn we’ll have it all worked out.
And yay! He remembered we needed trash bags.
