It's not really VHF issues. Those things work exactly as designed.
It's lack of preparedness or experience in how "exactly as designed" works.
Yup. Another borderline fuster cluck.
Sadly, I know people who responded to OKC who not have views not much different than McVeigh.
But hey, it's not like we had a fire in the very next canyon 12 years ago with the same comms issues.
They had huge VHF issues since the repeater SDU picked is over the hill in San Marcos, rather than the Black Mtn repeaters that NorthComm uses. They finally got everyone on SDU2, which worked off of Woodson. Not sure why NorthComm didn't take the lead, since it's LRA.
It's one of the few pieces of LRA in the RSF district. Was a bit of a cluster on the radio.

Shot in the back of the head with a crossbow. Bolt exited just above the opposite eyebrow. Guy was fine. He ended up on Oprah.

I would guess that the neighborhood focuses on that. I explained exactly what I did above to several folks at community meetings. What I can't argue is the "neighborhood beautification" side.
The same staff typically doesn't work at 1 particular spot that entire time. People transfer in and out.
Same, I suppose. Except it was a short guy wearing a hard hat who started asking me high level questions.
The pile of garbage used to be the World Trade Center.
The short guy was Dennis Smith.
The fire station in a trailer was in Scripps Ranch for about 30 years before a permanent fire station was built.
Bottom line? The same 4 firefighters and fire engine respond from both types of facility.
People (probably) - Who?

Oddly, I was put on a kidnap and rape jury once. After explaining that the same had happened to a friend a year previously. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

My Hungarian ancestors soar tonight.
Many of the patients I saw had high BP, so not as likely to pass out. But different etiology might cause reduction of output and low BP, thus fainting.
Discomfort/pain of suspected cardiac origin. Right our of the protocols.

Even before the 12 lead days, I worked with a medic who did them manually by moving the 3 leads we had around.
He was trained in Germany and knew EKGs very well.
You are correct. They should.
But from a conversation I had yesterday AM, I couldn't have told you she was running. And I'm pretty politically aware.
A map showing the outline of a large structure fire with satellite heat detections in the surrounding area.
Good lesson in satellite heat detection this morning from the large (~26 acre) structure fire in Ontario, CA. The fire building is outlined in green. You can see VIIRS and GOES heat detections all around the area from the very intense fire.
I have got to find a day to figure Python out enough to install WxData.
To be fair, many Californians have no idea who she is.
Great guy!
Calle Chicano Park?
I like the idea, but see some confusion. "Wait, the old Park Boulevard? Or Chicano Park Boulevard?"
