It is complicity.

If you silence the people measuring the heat, mapping the accelerants, and tracking where the sparks land, you are not defending free speech.
You are choosing blindness.
And in an age of stochastic violence, blindness is not passive.

The result is not neutrality.
It is an information ecosystem optimized for radicalization, with plausible deniability baked in at every layer.
So no, not a culture war.
It is infrastructure being dismantled.
Early-warning systems removed because they are inconvenient to power

This administration is manufacturing consent– not for a policy, but for harm.
Outrage is algorithmically amplified. Disinformation is laundered through “debate.” Watchdogs are recast as partisan enemies

That is stochastic violence:
Not speech that pulls a trigger, but speech that loads the room with gasoline and waits.

It does not emerge from a command.
It emerges from an atmosphere – a narrative climate where grievance is normalized, targets are named, and action is left just vague enough.

Violence in the twenty-first century is decentralized, often leaderless, and deliberately ambiguous.
No clear orders. No single author. Plausible deniability by design.

The media frames this as a culture war – hate versus free speech online. That framing is comforting. It is also wrong.
What the @counterhate.com, HateAid, and GDI actually share is not ideology, but function:
They study, quantify, and interrupt stochastic violence.
