I mean it's a mistake to generalize them in the first place, it's a mix of different groups. But I do believe this might apply to at least some of them.

There are like 50 ways to read this uncharitably so no wonder this isn't really talked about. But I guess a more succint way of putting it is "hurt people hurt people, even if it is about femininity" (which can also be read uncharitably, it is what it is)
I think it's underdiscussed (for obvious reasons) how important envy/jealousy are as motivation for TERFs. It's reasonable to assume the first time they saw a pretty doll something broke in them - especially considering how deeply hurt you get by the dynamics that put you in such a situation.

A more charitable interpretation of the term is that it applies to countries that fit the category geographically, culturally, and politically. But at that point just say Austria.
Exactly. You can tell their whole MO is deflection because they passed stricter gun import laws saying if the rifle hadn't been imported the tragedy wouldn't have happened.
It was a Carcano.

I mean I heard it claimed from Belgium to Ukraine, it really isn't a useful concept

I see we're discussing a privilege that people who got rich don't necessarily even realize is an option, and of course it gets treated as if poorer people are just too stupid to enjoy it instead of not being able to afford it. Must be a day ending in Y.
And of course in both cases people crying about it are just plain old imperialists
Bingo
These guys are all vicious but that street thug in a suit is an especially venomous maggot. I'm sorry.
Magyar saying "Ukraine has been attacked by Russia and is the victim of agression" was in part a message to the EU, but more importantly a message to Hungarians who, even if they don't particularly care about Ukraine, had to listen to how up is down for 4 years and counting. You can't lie forever.
This is objecticely true, but YOU DID THIS. For this to have been done by Tisza would require people to be able to engage with politics, which you cannot do while staying sane. I think they don't even realize what they've destroyed and how that hurt them in the long run.
Yes, I literally cannot discuss extremely important topics with my family, wonder who's responsible for that Mr. Let's Buy Every Last Media Outlet, Let's Monopolize Public Billboards, Let's Do Psychotic Hate Campaigns Every Year, Let's Do Fake Referenda, Let's Prop Up Paid Influencer Networks, etc.
Lots of navel gazing in FIDESZ circles these days, and a recurring theme is "undeserved hate campaign", "families torn apart", "psychosis", "campaign of lies", and I've no idea if this is just extreme DARVO or they're this stupid and think their propaganda leviathan is harmless and morally neutral.
It's been made insanely toxic and they know standing up for it would be a death sentence. It's been such a taboo that frankly we don't even know if there is a constituency as there was no way to discuss it at all. But it's unlikely. 16 years is a long time, especially for state sponsored libel.
Zero. None. The most pro-immigration policy is the temporary guest worker system implemented by FIDESZ and Tisza stupidly promised to even scrap that (although I presume they'll realize that's not really feasible). But no, there's basically zero support for it.
They'll need to latch onto something topical if they want to build a new left party, so whatever presents itself as the big issue of our time. If I had to guess the oil crisis will break the economy so it'll be about mitigating the fallout from that.
I mean it's exactly this cult of personality that makes me think DK will be around for a little while, despite Dobrev having resigned. True left wing politics is of course incredibly hard when FIDESZ has a national flavored socialist populist agenda, that even Tisza has a hard time backing out of.
Hard to say. Depends on how Tisza works out. MSzP relied on the nostalgia of old voters, I think they're finished. DK? Probs will stick around (out of ego, mostly, not expecting them to ever understand the country). Momentum probs hardest hit. Huge overlap with Tisza, maybe they'll form a coalition?
Very hard to say, but previous election trends and my gut tells me about 15% each. Of course what leftist and what liberal means is itself pretty hard to say.
Who's Baudrillard
Ah, I guess I made the mistake of engaging with the original argument as if it was made in good faith instead of reading it for what it is: Japan and the EU should give Palantir many billions of dollaridoos.
Not to mention Germany has reinstated conscription and is spending out the nose on defense rn. They had to be dragged to this point but they're there. Any failures they face now are entirely self-imposed (FCAS, MGCS, nuclear shutdown)
Thank you, and I apologize, made the mistake of believing the post w/o reading the article, again. Yeah, I'm going to delete this thread.
I'm mindful of my devices, deliberately choose ones with long software support and my Galaxy A40 was repaired multiple times and still chugs along (although it's a backup phone now). But I see how other people use their phones and that makes me very doubtful of this concept's viability.

Man, when the *Europeans* are terrified that you're going too easy on Iran sanctions, you may as well just pack it up.
