For context, SAG-AFTRA shared this video of Sheryl Lee Ralph, a former vice-president of the LA branch of the union.

People erroneously jumped to the conclusion that she was pushing a pro-AI agenda.

The above held simultaneously with the fact that the final result is abysmal, no one asked for it, and one would hope companies stop investing into these productions. But the union did its job when exploitation was negotiated out of the contract. That was advocacy, not failure.

“Has SAG voice actors” is just vague enough to leave the door open to any interpretation. Great for engagement though!

If it’s under a union contract then those actors worked with hard fought, enforceable protections. But the last two strikes will continue to be misrepresented for years to come🙄
