Personally don't recommend these. As the article notes, these properties are typically achieved through PFAS, which can shed carcinogens in your home (which you then inhale) or come out in the wash (polluting waterways for decades). Will try to do a thread on how to treat stains in the wash.

Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc.
If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

6.) Probably obvious, but to avoid comments on your appearance, use Only Hands. I open packs and display cards without showing my face intentionally. My (male) friend who shows his face has a block list for words that's a mile long due to rude comments from (non-subbed) viewers.
