Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

Awesome thread detailing all of the solar projects Canada is getting built in 2026.

I've groused about this before, but the push to build a national green electrical grid is probably one of the most transformative projects currently happening in Canada, and it gets almost no attention whatsoever.

Conservatives think the state should protect them from the traumatizing experience of encountering people unlike them. For some reason this never came up in the heyday of “snowflake,” “trigger warning” or “safe space” discourse bsky.app/profile/kiss...

If they don't have the same rules for Donald Trump as they do Eric Swalwell, this isn't about accountability.
You may want to let them know this.

60 years ago today, the Chicago Cubs traded veteran pitchers Bob Buhl and Larry Jackson to the Philadelphia Phillies for Adolfo Phillips, John Herrnstein and a promising young pitcher named Fergie Jenkins (Chatham, Ont.).

That worked out well for the Cubs.

I pronounce the argument that Americans need guns to protect us from a tyrannical government officially dead. Kaput. We're living under a tyrannical government and the only people suffering from gun violence are innocent children and civilians. No one's using them against this government.

When you learned about the Iran hostage crisis, did they teach you this part?

In November 1979, during the crisis, Black hostages and women were released first.

Ruhollah Khomeini said they were oppressed in the United States and not part of the power structure, so they weren’t seen as spies.

Right. It’s a public service.

Do the ambulances make money? No. Because they’re a public service.

How profitable are fire departments???

“It’s amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.”

- Harry Truman

As Trump proves often, the reverse of this is also true.

It’s amazing how much you can fuck things up when the only thing you care about is getting the credit.

As Trump’s lies get more egregious (and repetitive) I have at least noticed fewer mouth-breathing bootlickers willing to defend him in my comments.

And the administration is leaking about how he’s hurting negotiations and how they’re keeping him on the sidelines.

I’ll call that progress.

Khanna to Maria Bartiromo: "Barack Obama was a great statesman who left America much safer. I wouldn't put Donald Trump in the same paragraph. Obama actually did his homework ... all Donald Trump did is listen to Netanyahu. That's his entire foreign policy."

But, the important thing to remember, it won’t have Obama’s name on it

Ford says no one in Canada is scrutinized like he is after backtracking on $28.9M private jet purchase | CBC News Ontario Premier Doug Ford told reporters Monday that "no one in the country" is more scrutinized than he is, as he explained his government's rationale for buying a $28.9-million private jet before qu...

I just keep thinking about this. Ford loves to pound people to shit and strut across their political bodies. All the name calling. The Lefties. Socialists. Cyclists. Gravy eaters.

But he whines like a high maintenance nepo when something doesn't go his way.

Everything you need to know about Trump & his unfitness as POTUS is summed up in this 1st line of a latest missive…’I’m winning a War, BY A LOT’ he spent Vietnam attacking cocktail waitresses in the back of daddy’s limo and lied his way into 5 deferments. There’s no ‘I’ in war.

“I heard from the people, and I’m the Premier that listens to the people. If they don’t like something, I’m not too shy to change my mind ... ".
Well Ford how about restoring the Science Centre, bike lanes, FOI & cancelling the Therme Spa at Ontario Place. Restore real funding to education &health.

29. In fact, Defendants ignored their own politices and procedures, rushing
the story to print without substantively fact-checking the allegations or giving
Director Patel a meaningful opportunity to respond—all to publish before the truth
could be exposed and derail the Article.

[I have put a pink rectangle around the word spelled, "politices."]

Nothing like misspelling a word in the ¶ accusing The Atlantic of failing to take enough time to fact check an article.

[Kash has submitted a new version, and used the opportunity to dox Fitzpatrick's address.]

"There is no one in this country that is scrutinized more than I am," Ford said.

He should chat with Trudeau. 😉

This👇🏼. AOC is the only one stating it clearly and plainly. Do I have any faith that the American people will ever elect a woman president someday? No. I hope I’m proven wrong.

Only the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations could put out a story about how the 2020 election was stolen to distract from the fact the Epstein Files haven't been released and that he is an alcoholic.

The delusional Trump always talks as if he owns the world and allows other countries to exist or not exist at his whim. But when actually challenged, he backs down or declares victory and moves on. Or when Putin tells him to stand down.

I think Patel wants to out the sources so he can fire them and that, contrary to his denial that he's been panicking about losing his job, he's doing this to impress Trump so he can keep his job.

I'll bet even more witnesses will come out against him now.

Waiting for an MRI in Ontario can take anywhere up to eight months and Doug Ford spent 29 MRI machines on a jet so he could be more comfy on his one-hour flight to Ottawa once a year.
