I’ve also traveled with mine similarly and have had no problems. At this point, I feel like it’s a fairly common occurrence, so they’re used to it!

Democracy dies in broad daylight under billionaire ownership

Hi all! Getting set up for the fund raising drive! I'll be posting rent funds and other helpful donation sites for Minneapolis, LA, Chicago, & Maine (city TBA).
I have a form for you to use this time which I think will be a lot easier. It will be pinned on my profile.
Starting in 30 minutes!
Now: Bruce Springsteen sings “Streets of Minneapolis” in Minneapolis
it is unacceptable that after this fucking hellish month we are now required to persist in a world that doesn’t have catherine o’hara in it. what the fuck is this shit
😂 definitely! Especially given who they’re learning from
A small thing but for anyone with small children trying to explain what’s going on I would highly recommend the book “Noodlephant.” A fantastic parable about the power of community defense and mutual aid to combat fascism and racism, and the inherent violence of policing
I bought that for my cousin’s kid and she tried to start an uprising at her preschool’s nap time because of it lol. So proud. But yes, it’s a great book, especially for this moment.

reminding everyone at this time to refrain from saying certain things on public networks
I refuse to stay silent while Secretary Noem breaks the rule of law and terrorizes our communities. I am introducing Articles of Impeachment against her for violating the public trust, obstructing Congress, and self-dealing. Read my full statement: robinkelly.house.gov/media-center...
We don’t need to compare what happened in Minneapolis to Nazi Germany. We can compare it to what has happened in Minneapolis before.
They get to “fear for their lives” and defend themselves. The public cannot. Police have a monopoly on violence that’s upheld by the legal system and cultural conditioning that convinces us the police are righteous defenders of the public.
I can’t stop thinking about the victim’s partner sitting right next to her while it happened. Nobody should ever have to live through that. It’s just unfathomable.
In 2019, I moved to Minneapolis for law school. My wife and I felt lucky to buy a house in a beautiful, vibrant part of the city. This is now the second murder by law enforcement in my neighborhood. to become national news.
Two things are true:
- Enough is enough
- I am so proud of my neighbors
If most Liberals called stopped calling for more training and started demanding defunding that would be some progress.
The US is an authoritarian regime so I guess Brazil can bomb Florida and kidnap the fascist in chief now? This is how it goes, right?
incredibly funny to see americans posting they hope congress will get the president for committing this war crime. what country do you think you live in?
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.
Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.
The most insipid and dumbest dystopia.
the good that you do persists in this world
Jane Austen used 'however' at the beginning of a sentence, and so can you.

Thinking about all of the “Gaza isn’t a prison, it’s a concentration camp” people as I read George Jackson’s prison letters. He signs several of the letters “From Dachau with love”. He understood better than most how horrific prisons can be, and how often they target specific radicalized groups.
New pillows. (Showing my age here lol)
The sanism of the entire culture is upholding the brutality of the psych ward. It’s because the people there are thought merely subhuman butts of cruel jokes, at the level of our common language, that no one thinks the mad really deserve care. The world really does see us as deserving only violence.
