Lucky me participating in the current @loopartcritique.bsky.social critique program, a residency for artists working in XR in the metaverse. Forever learning on the go, low-poly always a challenge, but here are a couple of wonky WIP screen caps.

Yes! Often surprises me when "curators" etc don't document their exhibitions properly, not least for their absent artists. I'm enjoying getting to know your work.
Do you have to make work using neutral colours to be taken seriously as an artist?
~~not really a serious question~~
The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
A bright pink poster with text at bottom in bold capitals saying Red Salon. As if inside a long rectangular box, perspective lines show a square in the off centre middle, with text saying Opening night 14th Feb 6-8pm. Radiating out from this centre, on all sides of the "box" are the names of the artists in the show, in white text
On view until Feb 23rd.
Two works in Red Salon.

Incomplete moving image of shadows on an undulating surface (thanks @bsky.app for flipping the portrait orientation and cropping 🙃)
Love a whisky fruit cake, it world be great in that
Getting ideas now...put in vodka to really extract the vanilla
Yes I did!! Delicious and so fragrant. So you enhanced the flavour of the whisky? Serve on ice?
No no NOT too much almond extract, none is ideal lol. An aberration. Now vanilla is another story, never enough. Having just been to Madagascar, it's on my radar and in my ice cream 😋
Sympathy! My "sprained ankle" turned out to be a fracture and loss of muscle tone is a real hassle. Physiotherapy for sure, but beware walking too far too soon in sandals before soft tissue is strong. Metatarsalgia set me back weeks, v frustrating. An exercise of scrunching a towel with toes helps.

So how’s everybody’s work-life-genocide-dictatorship-fascism-climate crisis balance going? ☕️
This is super handy. Turn starter packs into Lists, then you can have a topic specific feed without necessarily following all in the starter packs.
Starter packs and Lists are such a boon.

I try to turn all notifications off but don't always succeed so end up with a random set of text on my phone from discords I forgot I was subscribed to, that I leave there for a while since no time to look and see if I'm interested, lol, sigh
Yes long hated discord, too messy. Has been helpful when searching for software help, whether past posts or (if active) direct responses.
oh yeah, the vaccuum! poor little thing :)
@digitalcoleman.art @amaliaversaci.com and @ruralidyll.art thank you so much for your beautiful new year treats. So lovely to receive. 🥰
I do like AntennaPod, thanks for all your work. I looked up Tags to group subscriptions, and I can see how to set them, but can't see how to use them to actually group my items. I'm probably missing something very basic. Any tips? thank you
