looks like saylor to me
Now running a private #matrix server for the family (synapse), 5 users.
Experience was much easier than that expected.
Idling at 5%, Spikes at 15%, 1GB ram use of a CAX11 hetzner vps (also running a #miniflux instance).
Only caveat, clients have sharp edges.
Seems so (shell commands clause code executes on your behalf).
A journalist is sued for viewing the page source of a website but this is fine…
this is amazingly bad and the response from vercel is so aloof i'm not sure what's worse.
[headline doesn't say but the plugin captures all bash command strings claude code executes without requesting permission]
obviously not legit subs but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
I didn't like that thing though, so I spent a few hours looking at what it was doing on the network but nothing shady like the podcast describe.
I put it on a separate network and let it live.
Back a long time ago, when my wife joined me in hk, she wanted domestic nhk. I suppose from advice from the local jp community, she came back with a box, you connect to the network, connect the tv and behind a menu in chinese, you get a menu in japanese with lots of local channels...
Some participants from that video don’t come out great…
The market will now tick off 'threat of civilization destruction' on the JBTFD checklist.
Maybe with a TACO footnote? if we're lucky?
What's next?
Oof, time for a code red
Had a thread on this last year, but this article gives you numbers and explains why right-wing dominance of social media is structural: right-wing influencers see their audience as suckers and marks, which allows them to garner the marketing dollars from the highest GM companies like gold scammers
Salut à toi et mort aux cons

1/ -> why Takaichi statement back in Nov. isn't unjustified/mistake. If CN makes a move on TW, some types of move would be critical for nations east of it.
2/ the article scenario misses that TW would have some agency in how things devolve from there: whether shots are fired & population support
no they didn't apparently
Exhibit #n:
we're in a performative society - La Société du spectacle.
you, me and a lot of people I assume.
very Black Mirror
So users feel CC is performing better (some of the agency is +ve), feel their limits get tighter (more tokens consumed to achieve the goal), and Anthropic's inference capability is used less efficiently
Not sure how they (can) balance this.
This can be managed and I'm sure some teams preempt some of this behavior and have people monitoring traces to improve their setup but by and large, I guess, a lot is just wasted.
I have a feeling Anthropic (maybe others) is shooting itself in the foot, somewhat.
Claude Code is more and more agentic but beyond its skills (on some use cases at least). Before formulating an answer, it can spend thousands of tokens exploring parts of the codebase that are marginally relevant
Dead man walking...
Funny it hit precisely the antenna.
I'd be surprised it was emitting while on ground and if Iran's missiles for this kind of strike had ARM capabilities so I guess just happenstance. Plane's scrap anyway.
