AI 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 JUST 👏🏻 A 👏🏻 MARKETING 👏🏻 TERM
remember that:

- there is nothing "intelligent" about it
- it comes at the cost of people's livelihoods and damages vulnerable communities
- genAI hurts the environment

the easiest way to help stop it is to simply not use it 🫡

Plan to scrap two-child benefit cap ‘dead’ after welfare retreat A calamitous week for Keir Starmer’s government is said to have rendered the proposal, which would have cost £3.4 billion, unfeasible

Note No.10 is starting work on its new narrative: “We can’t stop the two child limit ‘cos they made us u-turn on disability benefits.”

Child poverty v disability poverty is not a contest. Labour is responsible for its choices and solutions - not disabled people. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

Every1's a Winner by Hot Chocolate has my favourite riff of any song ever. it's so simple but it has a sort of crunchy but velvety texture only it's burning around the edges. that guitar was on fire for sure.

Oh sorry, you're vulnerable to SARS, but only from your 75th birthday onwards. Otherwise better hope you get prescribed steroids for something...

Today I got my COVID booster. The walk-in vaccine clinic turned away a carer with COPD, saying that the NHS is only giving the free vaccine to people on immunosuppressant medication. So people with lung disease aren't vulnerable to SARS now?? That's their line. Cool cool cool cool cool 🫠

Face masks allow us to protest safely

😷 Face masks could be BANNED AT PROTESTS under Gov’s new Crime and Policing Bill

Sound familiar?

That’s because Rishi Sunak’s Gov tried to introduce the same thing last year!

Hi everyone,

We aren’t receiving funds quickly enough for our current spending. Remember: if we do not raise enough, we will have to potentially cut thousands of people off from the Internet, during Ramadan. Let’s not let this happen.

Many healthcare staff are suffering long covid, there is no testing in care homes. Vaccines to the majority of vulnerable have ended. We need clean air and better infection control in healthcare. Please help get this petition up to the crucial 10k mark 🙏

For anyone confused about UK gov’s refusal to take on board science on COVID and Long COVID: it’s deliberate. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be able to trash the disability benefits system—and disabled people—further. Which is one of their top agenda items.

atm it's just looking at architecture blogs. street style blogs make it worse because i see the kinds of things i could have if i could thrift, but i can't wear emulsion or bas-reliefs or whatever, so buildings are ok.

Hey Siri,

Create a plan that alienates supporters—from the left-wing press to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and the Citizens Advice Bureau—while failing to win over Tory voters or the right-wing press. And make sure it targets the most vulnerable, already using food banks at record levels.

like we full-on can't safely go to the doctor because so few people are doing anything to keep pathogens out of the air, and institutions have policies of doing nothing. how is that a 'feeling'?

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

re. that Guardian article, I hate this psychologising tone I keep seeing, when social exclusion of CEV and immunocompromised people is mentioned. We don't 'feel' excluded, we don't have access to public space or recourse to the rights we have to go there to exercise.
