Walz: "The idea that the secretary of education would not know what IDEA is -- individuals with disability in education act -- that's like your mechanic not knowing how to put air in your tire. And she's in charge of this nation's education progress. It is catastrophic."

Now that I don’t have insta, I don’t know where to post my garden photos! I’m about to do so much gardening…maybe I’ll make tiktoks or something. In any case, my tomatoes are coming up, and so are some of my daffodils!
Turns out, a lot of people disagree on the definition of Fantasy when they have to apply it to actual works of fiction
> Keep it down please @InternetHippo They taught Al how to talk like a corporate middle manager and thought this meant the Al was conscious instead of realizing that corporate middle managers aren't
Trying to remain professional at work when I really wanna say Something Else: “I have to take my dang cat to the goshdarn vet because she’s licking her fur away on her back end…I’m somewhat peeved”
A critical point.
I absolutely love this idea.
I haven’t had color pencils around for a long time, but the sketch kit thing I got recently came with colored graphite…and I’m so shocked I haven’t thought to use them sooner for pencil sketches, esp bc I prefer colored roughs digitally

Man, the migraines this winter have been brutal!
USAID matters. I've often disagreed with their strategy and choices, but their work saves more lives than any philanthropy can. It's a rounding error in the federal budget, and one of the best things we do as a country. To see it destroyed overnight by one unelected man is an unmitigated horror.
If you can’t make it downtown, this form sends a letter to both. Do it now! indivisiblechicago.com/shut-it-down...
Everyone can organize.
Everyone can contribute to social movements.
Everyone can do something, from somewhere.
None of this is about "professionalism" or policy"expertise. That is counterinsurgency, demobilizing logic.
Everyone can organize and has something to offer.
Nice! 🙌
It sucks that AI is doing things like stealing from artists instead of idk helping Word figure out what tf you want when you move any non-text element so it doesn’t completely destroy the layout of the entire document

The Holocaust was legal. We had a law prof teach a whole course on this. Ppl who conflate what is lawful with what is right are easy to manipulate and control.

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country
The CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey has monitored the wellbeing of America’s high school students since 1991.
Since 2015, it’s been a vital source of data on LGBQ youth. In 2023, it provided the first ever nationally representative sample of transgender teens.
As of this morning, it’s gone.

It's hard to know what to say or whether it's even worth adding to the doom - what I will say is buy your trans friends' weird zine, their album, their art game - buy them a beer or a soda or a meal - give them some ko-fi money for doing absolutely nothing. We gotta protect trans kids and adults.
Peerless character design. Totally coherent visual language that borrows from classic sources (Rackham etc) and avoids modern cliches.
